spain
While cities like trendy Barcelona and the party island of Ibiza might be the only destination for some tourists visiting Spain, I highly encourage you to look further into what this beautiful county has to offer and stay awhile! Seville (Sevilla) is one of the best places to go if you want to learn about Spanish culture. Steeped in Moorish history, Seville is dotted with flamenco bars and offers more tapas and sangria than you will be able to manage. Visit the Plaza de Espana, explore the Old Quarter, and enjoy the palace gardens at the Royal Alcazar (you might recognize this as Dorne from Game of Thrones).
For elegance and style, go to Madrid. Here you can spend your days eating at world famous restaurants in between museum visits and exploring the Royal Palace. When you travel around Spain, you'll notice the unique diversity between cities, each with its own customs, traditions and even language differences. Lastly, don’t miss the superb windsurfing waters of Tarifa or northeast Catalunya’s string of idyllic coves between Palamos and Begur on the Costa Brava.
